The invitation
Why I Am Asking Us to Pay Closer Attention
Why this inquiry exists, what it asks of us, and how collective attention can become a form of responsible participation.
Start here
Paying Closer Attention is an invitation to slow down, reconnect what has been separated and examine our shared reality together.
A way into the work
You do not need to arrive with the right language, a settled political position or a complete understanding. I certainly did not. What matters is a willingness to remain with difficult questions long enough for their relationships to become visible.
These first three essays move from the personal to the collective: why the inquiry became necessary, the voices that helped shape it, and the practices through which attention might become action.
The invitation
Why this inquiry exists, what it asks of us, and how collective attention can become a form of responsible participation.
The lineage
A recognition of the thinkers, traditions and lived encounters that gave language and shape to this inquiry.
The practice
A practical framework for recognising movement towards more equal, democratic and ecologically responsible arrangements.
One request
Do not rush towards easy certainty. Let what you notice disturb what you had accepted as normal.
